Wheel-thrown in a rich iron stoneware, this pot was reduction-fired for fourteen hours to 1290ºC in my self-built gas kiln. The glaze is made from ground-down granite rock, which naturally recurring iron traces which gives off this pale olive green colour where iron flecks in the clay body create a freckled effect.
This bowl is food and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve its finish. While durable, the edges can chip if handled roughly, so care is advised.
