Noodle Bowl

£40.00
sold out

Dimensions: Approximately 8 cm (H) x 16.5cm (W)
(Slight variations may occur between pieces, each piece has been photographed individually on this shop.)

This handmade, wheel-thrown noodle bowl has a satin green-to-blue glaze accented with a pigmented rim in red iron oxide. Its intensity varying subtly depending on the firing process. The blue tones are derived from naturally occurring iron in the clay used for the glaze, in this case, sourced from a construction site near London Fields. Each piece is reduction-fired for twelve hours in a gas kiln that I built this year.

The bowl is food, oven and dishwasher safe, though handwashing is recommended to preserve its finish. It is made with white stoneware clay and a satin glaze that has crystallised during the cooling process.

Each piece is unique, celebrating the charm of handmade ceramics.
